Virry VR is a registered Class 1 Medical Device, providing interactive and meditation experiences through unique content which was filmed in 4K VR at Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, Kenya, home to the most endangered African megafauna: Black and White Rhinos, Lions and African elephants.

Virry VR is available for PS VR and Oculus Rift Go and Gear VR. It is all about giving the player a deeply impressive experience of meeting wild African animals up close.

Virry is an innovative approach to nature therapy and mindfulness for mental health - exposure to nature is one of the most effective non-medicinal methods to improve mental wellbeing. This can be difficult for vulnerable people, or those living in urban areas. With VR it is now possible to immerse ourselves in nature from the safety and comfort of our home, hospital, school or office.

These carefully designed VR experiences are proven to rapidly improve psychological health. We have tested this technology to measure its effectiveness on the psycho-emotional state of a range of participants and have worked closely with a number of leading psychologists to ensure we are providing the best possible VR solutions.

To ensure the best possible results we have been working alongside the Virry team with world-class, international collaborators, together studying the effectiveness of the innovative technology and advancing the development of virtual reality therapeutics.

Research has shown that Virry VR can improve the quality of life of people with dementia, influencing their mood, arousing interest in the new, re-orientating their entire cognitive system with knowledge, whilst also having an immediate positive impact on an individual’s wellbeing, setting a positive emotional scene that enables a different attitude to life.

Virry VR was also tested as an intervention tool for children with complex emotional and behavioural needs - we enabled participants to fully immerse themselves in nature and interact with animals in their natural habitat without physically leaving the room, which helped with their emotional self-awareness and targeted emotion management. The study found that participants were able to express themselves more freely and engage in more reflective thinking. A few of the participants appeared to better manage some emotions over some others post-intervention. It was noted that the VR intervention tool was easy to set up, allowing the participants to use them independently.
